Sugarpill

Sugarpill Cosmetics
First Impressions and Swatches
Edward Scissorhands and Sparkle Baby Palettes

This is my first time ordering anything from Sugarpill.

Edward Scissorhands Palette

Sparkle Baby Palette

Edward Scissorhands Palette
I got this mainly because I love the movie, but I also wanted to get because for one I wanted it in my collection and two this is the most "neutral" that Sugarpill has come. I think my favourite shade is Ice Angel. All of these shades are pigmented and from swatching they are all very smooth. I will go across the rows.

Home Sweet Home - Matte

Home Sweet Home is a Matte Powder Blue.

Ice Angel - Shimmer

Ice Angel is a Silvery White with an Iridescent Blue Sheen (with a little bit of Lavender as well).

The Inventor - Metallic

The Inventor is a  Creamy Metallic Gunmetal.

Suburbia - Matte

Suburbia is a Matte Coral (this can double as a blush).

Heart - Shaped Cookie - Matte

Heart - Shaped Cookie is a Matte Beige.

Castle on the Hill - Matte

Castle on the Hill is a Matte Stone Brown.

Sparkle Baby Palette

I have had my eye on this palette since it was first released. I wanted this because I love pastel colours, I think that three of these shades are great one I'm not sure about because I have to see how it is on the eyes. All of these shades are pigmented and smooth is swatches.

Kitten Parade - Shimmer

Kitten Parade is a Shimmery Peach with a Golden Sheen.

Frostine - Satin

Frostine is a Frosty Pale Lavender.

Candy Crush - Shimmer

Candy Crush is a Shimmery Mint Pearl with a Golden Sheen.

Hotsy Totsy - Matte with Glitter (not sure about this shade)

Hotsy Totsy is a Matte Hot Pink with Gold Glitter (this shade is very dry).

Overall I really like both of these palettes, I think everyone would benefit from having these palettes. I think the Edward Scissorhands palette is good for anyone who is just getting into colour because you have your "neutral" shades but you also have your pops of colour. And the Sparkle Baby Palette is good for anyone who loves colour and wants pastels, this is a good palette to get because it has really good pastels that anyone can work into a look. I look forward to getting more from Sugarpill in the future, and I will be doing looks with these in the future.

Until next time

My 2015 Beauty Favourites

My 2015 Beauty Favourites

These are the products that I loved and used the most in 2015. And there are pretty much 1 product per category, like one concealer, one mascara, but there are a couple that have two products because I used them together.

Face Products:

Primer - Complex 15 Daily Facial Cream
This has almost the same consistency as the Rimmel Fix & Pro Primer 002 but it is more moisturizing.

Foundation Application - Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
I love this, it blends my foundation so easily and so quick, I don't need to do anything else and I will not shell out $20 for the beautyblender.

Foundation - Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and Annabelle Skin True Foundation
I always used the Annabelle foundation by itself, but because I have super dry skin it would catch on some of my dry patches. So I mixed in the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and it helps add the moisture back into the foundation not so much for my skin, but this combination works for me.

Concealer - Revlon Colorstay Liquid Concealer and ELF Corrective Concealer
I used to use the Revlon stick concealer but that was too drying on my skin, this one is much better for my skin. And the ELF Corrective Concealer I got at the end of November for my birthday and I have been using it since, it helps cover my zits, redness and under eye circle way better than just using the foundation and concealer on there own.

Powder - NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation
I needed a new powder because the powder I was previously using made my skin look even drier that it already is so I needed a new one, so I tried this one out because I heard good reviews on it. And this powder is so good, it's not the cheapest from the drug store but it is still worth the money.

Blush - Sleek Makeup Blush By 3 in Santa Marina
This is one of the first products that I got from Sleek and it came in the Nautical Collection, which I did a first impressions and swatches on. They are so smooth and they are good for both fall and summer. This was the only blush palette I brought with me to Fan Expo and it worked perfectly for me.

Highlighter - The Balm's Mary Lou-Manizer
This highlight is so pretty, I don't own the full size on it's own but it came in the Balm Jovi Palette and it's so beautiful. This is the only highlighter I own, I haven't tried any from Becca yet because they are expensive but I will try those eventually, but for now I will stick with Mary Lou-Manizer.

 Eye Products:

Primer - Hard Candy Eye Shadow Primer
I have tried many drugstore eye shadow primers and this is the best one I have tried and its only $6.

Eye Shadow Base - NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
I literally use this every time I do my makeup. It makes the colours I use pop and it's just so good.

 Eye Shadow - Urban Decay
These were hands down my most used shadows in 2015, both the Vice 3 palette from 2014 and the Vice 4 from 2015. The textures are so good and the colours are just so pretty these are must haves for anyone who like Urban Decay and colour.

Eyeliner - Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl in Black and
Hard Candy Stroke of Gorgeous in Little Black Dress
These are the best drugstore eyeliner I used this year, they are both super black. The Rimmel eyeliner is the only eyeliner that stays in my waterline, my eyes are very watery and this is the only one I have found that does not move. The Hard Candy eyeliner is the black most budge proof liner I have tried. It's super black, it has a felt tip and it's only $6.

Mascara - CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom in Very Black
I used to use the Maybelline The Falsies mascara but I found the formula too wet for my lashes, but this is not wet at all. I don't have straight lashes but this mascara gives me both volume and length, and I use it on my bottom lashes and it doesn't smudge on me.

Lip Products:

Lip Balm - Vaseline Lip Therapy with Cocoa Butter
I have super dry lips year round and I have this is the only thing that keeps them hydrated.

Lipsticks - Wet n Wild Mega Last and Silk Finish
These were my most used lipsticks of 2015 mainly Rosebud in the Mega Last Lipsticks and the What's Up Doc in the Silk Finish Lipstick. Rosebud is a my lips but better colour and What's Up Doc is a bright coral that is just too gorgeous for words.

Extras

Brushes - Royal and Langnickel Love is Hopeful and BH Cosmetics Brushes
I got the Love is Hopeful set from IMATS for my birthday 2 years ago at my first IMATS, my sister bought them for me. These brushes are so soft and I have not experienced and colour running when I wash them. And the BH Cosmetics brushes I got for Christmas and were my first ever makeup brushes, they came in a brush set and it came with 30 brushes. I have not experienced and shedding with these and I have had them for several years now.

Body Butter - Fortune Cookie Soap Whipped Creams in Lost Boys
I loooooove this body butter, it's so moisturizing and it's not greasy at all. I originally got their summer box because it was Peter Pan themed, and I need everything that's Peter Pan themed. Now they don't sell any of the Peter Pan Collection any more but any of their Whipped Cream scents are good. Butterbeer and In the Loop are two of my favourites, Butterbeer legit smells like Butterbeer (which I have tried and I did not like it) and In The Loop actually smells like Froot Loops it is sooooo good. you can get a set of 4 samples and you choose what scents you want and the have 4oz and 8 oz tubes too.

Makeup Remover - Simple Eye Makeup Remover and Cleansing Wipes
Now this is the only makeup remover I have tried because it is scentless and my sister is sensitive to certain smells, and I do her makeup for her. I have yet to try other makeup removers, but these do a good job of getting my makeup off, but if I get the eye makeup remover in my eye it stings the crap out of it.

Bonus SFX Makeup - Wolfe Color Skinz and Ben Nye Fresh Scab Blood
I did my first sfx makeup on Halloween for my dad, I did do a practice one on me before I did it on him. I only did a small patch on my arm and this was before I got these products, so the entire makeup I did was only using Liquid Latex, tissues, face paint, vampire blood, the Wolfe Color Skinz and the Ben Nye Fresh Scab. I used the most inexpensive products to do it. I think the entire look cost less than $30. The Wolfe paints are appetizer sizes and the Fresh Scab blood is the small size. The Wofls paints helped get my dads skin tone because I didn't have any foundation or concealer that was his shade so I got these and they worked perfectly. I will do a separate post on how I did the look.

Those are my favourites for 2015, I hope this interesting to some people to seem if any of these products work for you, or to see if there was anything that maybe you haven't tried before and are thinking about trying. I hope you all have a good 2016, and I will be doing another post soon.

ColourPop: Mini Review, First Impressions and Swatches

ColourPop
Mini Review, First Impressions and Swatches

So I got some ColourPop things for Christmas from my sister and they were the first things I got owned from them. I recently put a order and it just came today so some of this will be a mini review, a lot of it will be first impressions and there will be swatches of everything. My sister got me 2 of the Super Shock Shadows, the Mini Ultra Matte Lip Kit in Kitty and a Creme Gel Colour. The rest I bought myself, which were 2 more Super Shock Shadows, the KathleenLights Where The Night Is Collection, another Creme Gel Colour, a full size Ultra Matte Lip and 2 Creme Gel Liners.

Creme Gel Liners

I am going to start off with the Creme Gel Liners, now I think I got 2 duds because when i went to swatch them, Piggy Bank wouldn't go down and Bee Sting broke as soon as I went to swatch it. I'm not judging the product because of that, I am just pointing out that that's what happened to me. The product itself is really pigmented and it does not move.

Bee Sting

Bee Sting is an intense turquoise blue.

Piggy Bank

Piggy Bank is a vivid red violet.

Creme Gel Colour

I got one of these for Christmas and that is Fast Lane the one on the right. I wanted to get another one and once I saw the bright orange I knew I needed to have it. This product is super smooth and very pigmented, and it does not budge, it took me a while to get it off my hand.

Fast Lane
Fast Lane is an intense blacken teal.

Puppy

Puppy is a vibrant warm orange.

Super Shock Shadows

The top four are individual shadows, the bottom four are from the KathleenLights Where The Night Is Collections, which you can buy individually. The top 2 shadows in the top picture I got for Christmas the rest I bought myself. I have three Pearlized, two Metallic, two Matte and one Ultra Metallic finishes. All of these are super pigmented and I have to say along with everyone else these have the weirdest texture to them, they are a creme powder formula, I don't know of any other product like this. I'll do the individual ones first then do the KathleenLights Collection

Lace - Pearlized

Lace is a deep rich blue violet with a pearlized finish.

Boy Band - Pearlized

Boy Band is an intense red copper.

Snap Dragon - Matte

Snap Dragon is a mid-tone sea foam green.

Taco - Matte

Taco is a mid-tone aqua.

KathleenLights - Where The Night Is

Weenie - Pearlized

Weenie is a pinky rose gold.

Porter - Metallic

Porter is a warm burgundy with gold multi- dimensional gold glitter on top.

Telepathy - Ultra Metallic

Telepathy is a bright gold with a green undertone.

Midnight - Metallic

Midnight is a black undertone with a ton of gold glitter on top.

Ultra Matte Lips

I got the Mini Kit in Kitty for Christmas and it comes with 5 new shades. I like that they made minis so that you can try out the product in a variety of shades and see if you like the product. I bought the full size one myself. These liquid lipsticks are the most matte liquid lipsticks I have ever used. They dry in seconds and they are sooooo hard to get off, I can't even get them off with a makeup wipe and cleanser.

Times Square

Times Square is a muted pink beige.

Bianca

Bianca is a soft dusty pink.

Be Merry

Be Merry is a mid-tone true warm pink.

Last Dance

Last Dance is a true brick red.

Glitter

Glitter is a rich red- violet.
Ouiji

Ouiji is a bright coral red.

Overall I think this brand is amazing and very affordable, the Super Shock Shadows are $5 each, the Creme Gel Colours are $6 each, the Creme Gel Liners are $5 each, the Mini Lip Kit is $20 and the full size individual Ultra Matte Lips are $6 each and the KathleenLights Collection is $20. When you buy stuff from them you get a Thank You card and you get either cards or a booklet explaining what each product is and how to apply them and tips and trick which is amazing. I look forward to playing with these soon and I will be buying more from ColourPop in the future.
