Mikasa Beauty Brushes Review

Mikasa Beauty Brushes Review

I was contacted by Mikasa a couple weeks ago asking if I would like to try out their products, and I said absolutely, they sent me a 40% off code to use on any on the site, so everything in this review I bought with my own money they only gave me a discount code to use. So I got 7 brushes, a makeup setting spray, and eyeshadow duo and they sent me their sponge for free.I bought 3 brushes individually and 4 came in a set.

The set I got was their 4 piece Eye Essentials Set which is $42 ($47 value) so you save $5 and it comes with their:

E100 - Angled Liner Brush

E230 - Eye Shader Brush

E300 - Blending Brush

And their E310 - Pencil Brush

Individual brushes I got are the:

E320 - Tapered Blending Brush ($12)

E240 - Short Eye Shader Brush($12)

And their Techni O6 Oval (M) Brush ($35)

I used all of these brushes today for the first time, and they are all very soft and makes blending a lot easier. It was my first time using a face brush like this, and I think it's a good dupe for the Artis Brushes, its much smaller than Artis one which I like and its much cheaper. Overall I highly recommend these brushes.

The sponge is super soft, not quite sure if that is a good thing or bad thing yet, I only used it on half of my face today so I'm not quite sure how it performs all over the face but it seems to have worked well.

S100 - Lemon Drop ($11)

Bodyography Makeup Setting Spray: $22

I've only used this once so I don't really have an opinion yet, but it smells nice and it has a nice fine mist

Bodyography Duo Expressions Eye Shadow - Copper Mist ($18)

I haven't used this yet but the pigmentation is very nice and the shadows feel smooth.

Overall I really like the brushes, I have signed up to be an affiliate so I will be getting a discount code for people soon. But these brushes are very soft and make blending a lot easier.

Until Next Time

PUR Cosmetics: My Little Pony Movie Collection

PUR Cosmetics: My Little Pony Movie Collection
First Impressions/Swatches/Review

I ordered this the day it came out, because the packaging alone drew me in. I do actually enjoy watching it when I decide to watch it. I got everything but the lip glosses in this collection because I cannot stand lip gloss at all. So this will be a first impression and review of the collection. I have never tried anything from PUR before so this is my first experience with them. I will have all the prices with each item at the beginning of each section.

6 Piece Brush Set ($49 USD or $61 CAD)
So the brush set comes in a folding case that has a magnetic closure with a Oil slick rainbow on the back and on the ferrule of the brushes. The bristles themselves have dyed pink tips that go into white. The handles on the brushes are a mirror finish. They are all very soft, the only downside to the mirror finish is it hold fingerprints but other than that I really enjoyed using these brushes.

So you get a Powder brush:
A Blush brush:

A Concealer brush:

An Angled Liner Brush:

A Crease Brush:

And A Shader Brush:
I think that the price is worth it (comes out to around $8 a brush) I highly recommended this.

Magic of Friendship 3 Piece All-in-One Glow Stick Kit: ($22 USD or $28 CAD)

So these are balm stick that have a sheer coloured base with holographic shift and a lot of glitter. It says that it can be used on the face, eyes and lips. I tried to use this on my face and it doesn't blend that well at all it stay as a line and all I saw was a line of glitter. Next time I use these I will try them out on my eyes or on my body and see how that looks.

Cheerful: Iridescent Pink with Gold Shift (sorry I have really bad lighting so you can't really see the gold)

Blissful: Holographic Iridescent Blue with Pink Shift

Joyful: Iridescent White with Blue Lavender Shift

So overall I'm not quite sure how I feel about these yet, I still need to play around with them some more. I think that if you are more into theatrical or cosplay you might really like these since they are so reflective. But for everyday use I'm not quite sure about that. I will definitely try these on my eyes next time I use them and see how they work then.

Eyeshadow Palette: ($29 USD or $36 CAD)
So in this palette you get 16 eyeshadows that are a very bright and fun colours, which is totally me. It is almost  $2 per eyeshadow which I think is an amazing deal. All but one of these shadows is pigmented and you will see when I get to the swatches, I played with this palette today and my goal was to use all the main character shadows in one look, and I will show you that at the very end. I will start with the top row and go down each row/

Kindness: Matte yellow with white sparkle

Fluttershy: Soft pink with shimmer

Generosity: Matte mauve brown

Rarity: Matte White

AppleJack: Orange with lots of gold glitter

Honesty: Matte Chocolate Brown

Laughter: Shimmery Mauve Pink

Pinkie Pie: Matte Hot Pink

Twilight Sparkle: Light Purple base with Pink Shimmer

Magic: Matte Deep Purple (This is layered, not very much pigmentation to this)

Rainbow Dash: Shimmery Light blue

Loyalty: Satin Forest Green

Tempest Shadow: Matte Red

Songbird Serenade: Deep Purple with red shimmer

Storm King:Gunmetal gray with shimmer

Princess Skystar: Mint Duochrome

In the look I did using this palette for the first time I used all of the main character shadows.
I used Generosity and Pinkie Pie in the crease, Rarity on the browbone, Fluttershy all over the lid, AppleJack in the outer corner, Twilight Sparkle on the inner corner and Rainbow Dash along the lower lashline.

For the rest of the products I used check out my instagram @jaclynnseesink for the full list.

Overall I really liked this collection, my favourite thing is the eyeshadow palette, and the brushes. I have to play with the glow sticks more to see how I like them but overall I recommend this collection

Until next time
